To Valentine or not to Valentine...

Do you participate in that gaudy, heart-shaped, everything pink or red, overpriced teddy bears, roses (has to be roses), vomit inducing verbiage in cards, yucky blucky conversation hearts, chocolate covered, have to wait for hours for a table at a restaurant, professing your undying love w/ a marriage proposal, the reason why there are so many November birthdays, malicious creation to make lonely people lonelier, junky jewelery giving, lingerie (wouldn't be caught dead in), suicide-inducing (for the lonely of course), Christian-twisted St. Valentine correlation, hopes of getting-it-on fateful day we call Valentine's Day?

Yeah, me too. I just don't buy into all the commercialism. I've expressed my feelings to my family members numerous times....I don't need a reason for my man to have to tell me he loves me and buy me useless stuff because a holiday dictates it. I believe in C R E A T I V I T Y. Definition: what this world is in short supply of; see also, the crux of imagination.

I do make a special baked goody as to not make anyone feel out of place or any less thought of. After all, school is celebrating it. I will write a romantic letter to the hubbie and I will create a cute craft with my little girl and let everyone know that I love them all the time.
I do expect a sweet kiss and a "I love you" everyday no matter if we 'like' each other that day or not. We did after all, go to the trouble of peacocking and courtin' and saying all the right things at all the right times and marriage w/ all the bs (beautiful stuff) and the celebrating anniversaries (another questionable commercial celebration).

I'm not bitter- you may question or jealous because I did marry my true love but am pro show your- love -special -in -some- other- way -EVERYDAY Day.
